Defying cold and ice, people flock to the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. Reason? A 45-foot Ice Volcano formed from spring water gushing from the frozen plain. And now, social networks, especially Instagram, are filled with photos and videos of this unusual event. There is a possibility that the posts about this ice volcano will leave you in awe, too.
Underground hot springs are responsible for this unusual formation. When hot water flows from the spring, it freezes almost instantly, forming the hollow structure. In addition, the constant spraying of water from the upper opening of the structure is like smoke rising from a volcano filled with lava.
