In order to revive tourism, the Army has decided to organize a three-day Ice Sports Festival at Baderwah in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The ice carnival is scheduled to begin from February 18 and is expected to give a boost to the pandemic-hit tourism sector in the state. The event was organized by the Rashtriya Rifle Division of the Indian Army at Baderwah.
For those who do not know, Baderwah is also known as Mini Kashmir due to its beautiful layout. Sports during these three days include skiing and skiing. Snowman competition techniques, which will also take place in Delling, Sertingale and Pastor.
Not only this, with the help of Baderwah Band, live performances are given to entertain the guests. There are also photo exhibitios and competitions.
Rakesh Kumar, Extraordinary Deputy Commissioner of Baderwah, said: "Currently the main objective of the Ice Carnival is to promote tourism in Baderwah Valley, an important part of the local economy, which is badly affected by the corona-virus.
The official said that the festival would be an excellent platform for the youth of the region to showcase their talent. The residents of the valley are also happy with the army's efforts to promote tourism in the region.
