Auli uttarakhand

Apple trees, old oaks and pines are dotted, and there is no shortage of natural beauty in Auli. Besides skiing, you can also go on various hikes in the Garhwal Himalaya hills and take in the breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains. Auli is a popular mountain resort in the Himalayas dating back to the 8th century AD. Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited (GMVL) operates a ski resort and a ski rental shop.

Auli is a popular ski destination in India due to its sparkling slopes and clean environment. Dotted with orchards of apple, oak and deodars, Auli is a popular mountain town with many ski resorts nestled in the middle of the Himalayas. Located at an altitude of 2,800 meters above sea level, it is home to the Nanda Devi, Mana Parvat and Kamat Kamit mountain ranges. Many religious destinations are also dotted around Oli. Shankaracharya is believed to have blessed Uli with his visit.|

Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir

Situated at 2,730 meters above sea level, Gulmarg is a popular ski destination located in the Union Pir Panjal mountain range in Jammu and Kashmir. Surrounded by soaring snow-capped Himalayas, flower meadows, deep valleys and evergreen forested valleys, Gulmarg also has the second highest gondola ride in the world.

Manali, Himachal Pradesh

One of the most famous hill stations in Himachal, Manali offers the most impressive views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar mountain ranges, which are covered in snow for most of the year.

With the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, Manali has become a popular place for young people seeking a longer stay to work. With surrounding cafes, good Wi-Fi, small restaurants, and convenience stores, Old Manali ranks among those people's favorite neighborhoods. There are many host families and hostels that offer cheap bunk beds for longer periods.

Manali has many hiking options, making it an ideal base for exploring this side of the Himalayas. River Beas offers excellent rafting options in the nearby town of Kullu. Along the Parvati River is the Parvati Valley with Kasol, Manikaran, Tosh, and small towns that attract long-term travelers. The Atal Tunnel now allows travelers to reach Sissu in a few hours, making it easy to access Spiti Road.

Snow falls the most in January and February, followed by December and March. If you are very lucky you may find some snow in April.

Tourists flock to the Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley for various adventure activities including skiing, paragliding, horse riding, and zorbing. The Rohtang Pass is often covered in snow and can be crowded and see traffic jams.

Leh Ladakh

Impressive gombas (Tibetan Buddhist monasteries), waving prayer flags and whitewashed towers, Ladakh is a riot of intricate murals and red-robed monks. Ladakh, which is dominated by picturesque landscapes, is known as the coldest desert in the world. It is said that only in Ladakh a man sitting in the sun with his feet in the shade can suffer from sunstroke and frostbite at the same time. With a culture similar to Tibetan, the people of Ladakh are friendly and welcoming to tourists.


Ladakh is a federal district in the Kashmir region of India. Ladakh, formerly located in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, was under the administration of a union territory on October 31, 2019. Stretching from the Siachen Glacier to the Greater Himalayas, it is a land like no other.
