As the Diwali festive mood ends, New year and Christmas become other reasons for people to plan their vacations. Some people might shy away from exploring and travelling in summers because of the humidity and temperature issues but winter brings no such problem! Winters by all means are the best season to travel across the peninsular because from desert areas to hill stations prepare welcome visitors and tourist with open hands.1. Chennai Circuit: It includes Chennai, Pondicherry, Mahabalipuram, Thanjevur, Madumalai and Yercaud. South is most preferred by people to visit during the winter season. In summers, its hot and humid here so tourist usually leave this place out while planning a vacation. Being the fourth largest city in the country, Chennai is marked with several temples, churches and pretty beaches. Thanjevur will keep you busy with its temples and vast handicraft ranges while Mahabalipuram is famous for its caves and rock temples. It is home to exotic flora and fauna which attracts tourist.2.
