How to choose Shoes for Travel ?

By Preetam Banerjee | Jul 20, 2018

Epic adventures call for the top of the line footwear that can deal with everything. You require shoes that are so comfortable, protective, and flexible that you will not even be able to feel them under your feet. This is what you have to know before you go.

Pick the Right Shoe for the Right Trip

The first part to do for picking the right closed toe shoe for traveling is to know what you are going to do while traveling. If you are traveling on short-term and you know that you are not going to do anything too actively, then travel with only a pair of walking shoes. In order to pick the correct walking shoe, think about the destination where you are traveling to.If you are visiting mostly cities, you will need fashionable yet comfortable shoes. If you dont plan on hiking there is no need to pack hiking boots because not only are they heavy and bulky but will also be difficult to wear all day long. If you love to exercise dont forget to take a pair of trainers with you.

Comfort is essential

Comfort is the most important quality for choosing a travel shoe. This is subjective, but I find running shoes to be the most comfortable.Cushioning can be helpful while walking and it can make your traveling more comfortable. Recently, Ive been opting for less cushioning, instead of wearing barefoot shoes. Barefoot minimalist shoes give your feet a more natural feel as if walking barefoot in the true sense of the term. Apparently, this has many health benefits and Ive felt better while running and traveling with barefoot shoes.

Take only what you truly need

We would say one or two pairs of shoes plus your shower flip flops is the target range to take on your travels. This will be enough if you choose wisely. It might seem an impossible challenge, but shoes take up way too much room in your luggage. So choose wisely.Good shoes are essential for travel. Since shoes tend to be so specific in their purpose, the task of whittling down to just a few pairs for several weeks to several month adventures becomes an agonizing one at best. While this post probably isnt going to wave a magic wand and make you magically walk out the door with two pairs of shoes in your bag, it will hopefully shed some light on possibilities.
