According to estimates, approximately 200 air movements per day are expected to depart from Terminal 2 at IGI Airport, including 100 departing flights  and 100 arrivals. Total flight movements in T2 will gradually increase to an expected 280 by the end of August.

“T2 will resume operations with IndiGo series 2000-2999 flights and complete GoAir operations, and is expected to handle approximately 25,000 passengers in the initial phase,” Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL).

Previously, Terminal 2 services were closed on May 18 and Terminal 2 would resume from July 22.

He said in a tweet, "All flight operations at Delhi Airport will be diverted to T3 starting May 18 at 12:01 am. All passengers must complete online check-in at home for contactless travel."

The decision to resume services was made due to a significant increase in passenger traffic amid the gradual reversal of the second wave of the epidemic. 

With the opening of Terminal 2, GoAir will operate 11 counters, while Indigo will operate the last 17 offices.
