Coakers walk
It is a 1 km in distance built on the steep slopes of the mountain. This place had been constructed in the year 1872, by Lt Coaker. The beautiful view from this path is the reason behind its popularity. There is also a Telescope house at the coakers walk. You can even ride a bicycle there.
Berijam Lake
The magnificent Berijam Lake located in Kodaikanal offers one of the best picnic spots for tourists with an incredible view.
Silver Cascade Falls
Located 8 km from the town of Kodaikanal, this scenic waterfall is famous for its celestial flow of the pure crystalline waters that are flowing from a cliff with a height of 180 ft.
Kurunji Temple
The Kurunji Temple is dedicated to Lord Murugu. The temple has been associated with the Kurunji flower. It is said that this flower blooms only once in about 12 years and covers the whole area with the beautiful purple colored flowers. The views from this temple are delightful.
La Salette Church
The Mother Salette church is around 133 years old and is considered to be one of the oldest churches. A grand celebration is done in the Church on the 14th and 15th of August every year.
80 Mile Round
This is a popular trekking route in the area that begins at the Berijam Lake and ends at the Poombaral Village. For all the adventure junkies, the 80 Mile Round is the perfect way to experience the natural beauty and spend time in Kodaikanal
Chettiar Park
Chettiar Park is a small park that offers a cool picnic spot for the tourists. The park is maintained by the Kodaikanal Township. There is greenery all around and the views are amazing.
Thalaiyar Falls
It is also known by the name of "Rat Tail Falls". The falls are located on the slopes of the Palani Hill ranges of Kodaikanal at a height of 297 meters. The Thalaiyar Falls is the highest waterfall in the state of Tamil Nadu and the sixth highest waterfall in the whole of India. You can witness the serene views of the falls and the Manjalar Dam from the view tower of the park at the Dum Dum Rock.
