By admin.ngtraveller | Jan 17, 2022

France lifts crown virus restrictions With the move, the French ski resort hopes to welcome British skiers. In the past, the French government has banned all short weekend trips. This is done to prevent the spread of the Omicron version of the virus. This ban has come into effect from December 18.

The  French Alps flooded over the weekend, but the French government banned all unnecessary travel and forced British ski athletes to cancel their holiday plans.

Passengers who have been vaccinated in France since Friday must show a negative PCR certificate or antibody report 24 hours before departure. Travelers who are not thirsty need a good reason to travel. The passenger should be detained for 10 days and his address should be shared with the security officials.

The UK Travel Agency (ABTA) said in a statement: "This is a great help for customers who are unable to spend their next vacation as thousands of people are arriving at the moment." Some weeks "people can't wait to order news."

French resorts in Savoie and Haute-Savoie are down 10% to 20% during the Christmas and New Year seasons compared to 2019. About 15% of all visits to French ski resorts are British.

Many visitors come to the French in the Alps and look forward to the new year.
