The Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship is an upcoming Bollywood thriller in 2020.

It is a Hindi horror-thriller film directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh and has been produced jointly by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan. The story of the movie is based on a true accident. The accident had happened in Mumbai where a couple is lying static on an abandoned ship on a beach.

The film was wrapped up in the month of  September 2019. It has been scheduled to release all across India on 21st February 2020.

The cast of the movie is as follows:

- Vicky Kaushal as Sumit Desai

- Bhumi Pednekar as Esha Mukherjee

- Ashutosh Rana as Kaashinath Mukherjee

- Siddhanth Kapoor as Rahul Singh

The filming of "Bhoot" had begun in December 2018, with Vicky Kaushal. Bhumi Pednekar had filmed her part during late January. Vicky Kaushal got a fractured cheekbone while he was shooting for an action scene in the state of Gujarat during which a door fell on him. He ended up getting 13 stitches.

The Uri Star has done a variety of roles from action-thrillers to romantic and espionage flicks. But, now he will be seen in the horror role in his next film, Bhoot - Part One: The Haunted Ship.

Vicky Kaushal had confessed his fear of watching horror movies and he said that he wishes to overcome this fear. He said in a statement to the press, “When I read the script of Bhoot, what fascinated me the most was the geography. It was just like Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. I really enjoyed reading the script and the thought that there will be a vacant hotel, many rooms, and just one person will be present there so anything could happen. Just like that, the movie has the same kind of geography where there will be a dilapidated big container ship with 10 floors, 300 rooms, engine room, pump room, and staircases and again anything can happen. You can get trapped if you fall."

There were two official posters of the film. Also, there was another set of posters for the film that was released later. A poster had also been released that announced the new release date of the film.

Initially, the film was scheduled to be released on 15th November 2019 but it was delayed now it has been scheduled to release on 21st February 2020.

The official teaser of the film had been released by Dharma Productions on 31st January 2020 while the official trailer was released on 3rd February 2020.

The film is packed with all kinds of chills and thrills. Book your tickets now as the movie releases this Friday, 21st February 2020.
