How to travel Europe right - Europe Trip Planner Blog

By Preetam Banerjee | Aug 09, 2018

It's tempting when you plan that big first trip to Europe, to try to do everything, to fit every single highlight into a whirlwind tour around perhaps the planet's most diverse continent. So to help you out, weve created this list for you to pick and choose among the best destinations in Europe during the Europe Trip. You may explore the following places in the given order to cover the whole of the continent in a limited time period:

The city hopper: UK, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Duration: 6-7 days This is the destination of dreams. Starting out with London you can visit the best places. From London, you can travel to Paris in two hours via the Eurostar, and then take the Thalys train to Brussels. Burgess is just 70 mins away and your trip finally ends on a high in Amsterdam which takes around 2 hours. This is a perfect gateway for a week.
Coast of Awesomeness: Spain, Andorra, France, Monaco
Duration: 6-7 days If you love beaches and sand and martinis, this one is for you! The first stop is one of my favorites, Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia rich in culture and heritage. After soaking up the Spanish sun, travel to Andorra for views of the Andalucan plains. Then take a train to Carcassonne and then visit Montpellier in France, then Cannes or Avignon and end your trip in the Cote's Azure of Monaco.
The eastern big shots: Germany, Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria
Duration: 9-10 days This is a vacation of riding the rails between rich-kid capitals and magnificent palaces also featuring cheap beer. Start with Berlin, Europes cheapest hub. Then travel for an hour or two to Dresden in Germany, followed by Prague and Bratislava. Dont forget the detour to Vienna in Austria and then you can finish off with Budapest in Hungary. This trip promises to be artsy with warehouse parties and magnificent scenery.
Scandinavian Road Trip: Denmark, Sweden, Norway
Duration: 8-9 days This is no doubt one of the coolest stretches in Europe. Start by taking the train to Copenhagen to visit the royal palaces. Then you can travel across Europe's longest bridge to Gothenburg followed by the picturesque town of Malmo. Just 4 hours away, visit the Norwegian capital of Oslo and end your journey via the worlds most breathtaking routes to Bergen.
Grand Tour de la Italiano: Italy, Vatican City, San Marino
Duration: 7-8 days This is the Italian Grand tour covering the best tourist spots and a lot of Pizza. What better place to start a trip that in Rome? Then travel to the smallest country in the world, Vatican City. Coast through the wine heartlands of Italy to Sienna and if you have the time, visit the Montalcino, Montepulciano, and any of the cypress-lined vineyards off the main road. Travel to the Tuscan city of Florence and then to the panoramic city of San Marino. End your trip relaxing in a gondola in Venice. Europe is an incredibly diverse continent full of postcard locations and you can't do them all. If you even attempt to do them all you'll spend more time on buses, trains, and planes than you will actually see things. So here's a tip: choose a top five, your must-dos for that first visit. And the bottom line is: have fun.
