While the whole world is handling the corona pandemic in their country there are few countries which are already making their post lockdown plans for their tourist.
The prime minister of Iceland is making plans to reopen the country in mid-June for its tourist. While taking all the necessary and precautionary steps for the further prevention of corona.
The country will take a free COVID test on arrival and those whose results will be negative are free to enjoy their trip while those who are positive have to put themselves in 14 days isolation.
“It’s very important to be able to have a more long-term view of things than we’ve been able to until now,” Bjarnheiour Hallsdottir, the chair of the Icelandic Travel Industry Association, told RUV, reported by the Reykjavik Grapevine.
“They are hoping to have everything on track and also to see more tourist this summer”
At this moment of time, only the travelers with the Schengen region passports are allowed to enter Iceland, and everyone must self-isolate for at least 14 days upon the arrival.
Icelandair is said to be struggling with flights with the 3,000 staff members been laid off.
It is just about the people living in Iceland but the whole of Iceland is facing the issue due to pandemic no tourists are visiting the place. According to Hallsdottir, it is a situation of life-or-death for tourism in Iceland. As it is imparting over the tourism over the economy of Iceland adversely.
Iceland's total population is around 3,64,000 and it has 1,803 confirmed cases of corona and 10 deaths from it, as per the Johns Hopskins data.

Almost 38% of the country’s inhabitants have downloaded its COVID- tracking app and probably the visitors coming this summer would be required to do the same.
As Business Insider's Isobel Asher Hamilton previously reported, this makes Iceland's download rate of a contagion-tracking app the best in the world.
Detective Inspector Gestur Palmason from the Icelandic Police has said, however, that the app is effective only when combined with manual contact tracing.
Iceland is thinking of more and more strategies to have their tourists safer and comfortable when they visit the place after the lockdown.
