New Delhi: Railways announced on Sunday that they have decided to gradually resume passenger train services, but the current private ceramics trains will continue to operate under the current system at the request of the state’s respective governments. Passenger train operations will resume from Tuesday (May 12) initially with 15 pairs of trains. These trains will operate as private trains from New Delhi station that connects 15 major cities in the country. IRCTC will start booking tickets starting today (May 11).

Ticket reservation rules in the middle of closing

IRCTC Ticket Reservation Procedures

Step 1: Register as an individual and log in with the username and password. On the "Book Your Ticket" page, submit the required source to the destination station, travel date and class of travel. (In case you do not have a specific travel date, select the option "Flexible with the date").

Step 2: To search for a list of trains, click on the "Search for trains" option and the next page will display the list of trains available for the selected route. If you want to know the route and schedules, click on the name of the train. To select the train from the train list, click the separation type available for the selected train.

Step 3: For availability and rate, click the "Check availability and rate" tab. The rate will appear according to the specified row type. The price shown will be for one adult passenger. To book a ticket on the selected train, click the "Book now" button.

Step 4: The passenger booking page will appear. Check if the train name, station names, category, and travel history shown on the left side of the page are the same as you want them. Enter passenger names, age, gender, floor preference and dining options for each passenger. Names must not exceed 16 characters.

Step 5: Enter the passenger's mobile phone number to receive the reservation and cancel the free SMS, then click the "Next" button. After you've provided the correct details, click the Continue booking button. To change any details related to Train-Class software, fees, you can use the "Reservation reservation" button. Ticket details, total fees (including GST and convenience fees), and family availability at a certain time will appear on the screen.

Step 6: After verifying all the details, click on the "Continue booking" button to process the payment. All payment options are grouped into specific categories (for example, credit cards, net banking services, wallets, multiple payment services, etc. Select the desired payment option from the payment gateway listings shown on the left side.

Step 7: Click on the 'Make Payment' button to be redirected to the specified bank location. After a successful payment and accommodation reservation, the ticket confirmation page will appear. In addition, the virtual reservation message (VRM) will be sent in the form of an SMS via the mobile phone number (as stipulated in the passenger reservation form).
