Myanmar (formerly Burma) is a Southeast Asian nation of more than 100 ethnic groups, bordering India, Bangladesh, China, Laos, and Thailand. The best outcome of the five-day Visit (December 2018) of Indian President (Ram Nath Kovind) to Myanmar is that Indian visitors will get a visa on arrival in Myanmar. Myanmar travel could get a lot easier for tourists from India. From 13 December 2018, this policy is an effective policy. The President, who had visited Myanmar to work on Act East Policy, and Neighbourhood First Policy, is also looking to improve people-to-people relations between the two nations. Hence, Myanmar has announced that the visa-on-arrival will be provided to those Indian tourists who are entering the country through their international airports, Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, and Mandalay.
