Uttar Pradesh is set to provide pod taxis that will make it easy for people to travel from Greater Noida to the nearby Jewar International Airport. This driverless transportation system is very popular in many western countries and can easily accommodate four to six people at a time per vehicle.
Yamuna Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway will reportedly soon sign an agreement with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to expand connectivity to outlying areas.
Referring to this, MLA Dhirendra Singh said that although there is a metro connection to Greater Noida, Jewar International Airport is about 25 km from Greater Noida; Therefore, this option has been considered. He added that the Pod Taxi would be helpful in closing the aforementioned distance gap.

The nearby Jewar Airport is easily accessible by road from Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, and much of Uttar Pradesh. YEIDA CEO Arun Veer Singh said that to ensure a smooth journey for passengers and reduce travel time, they are working on the Pod Taxis.
