Sufism goes beyond religion. It is a direct link with the Creator in the search for personal enlightenment and self-realization, transcending churches, temples, mosques and their rituals. I find expression in poetry, music and Sufi dance. The World Festival of the Holy Spirit in Rajasthan brings together great artists from all over India and around the world in a stunning royal setting.
In 2021, the festival will take place at the magnificent Nagur Fort (February 9-11) before moving to the massive Mehrangarh Fort located above Jodhpur (February 13-15). Days and nights of magical music, dance and poetry are an unforgettable experience
Arrive in Jodhpur where you will meet our car and driver and you will be transferred to your hotel. You can take a half-day city tour and visit the bazaars and Dean Bhawan Palace Museum. There are many great options for lunch and dinner, including Gypsy Restaurant, which serves excellent Rajasthani Thali. There is also On the Rocks in Ajit Bhawan and Darikhana in RAAS Jodhpur, both of which are known for their Indian and international cuisine. Return to your hotel to spend the night.
Work on the festival begins at 7 in the morning and continues into the wee hours of the morning. Have a good breakfast at your hotel, maybe see a little bit of town, then head to the fort at your convenience. Enjoy the Sufi Festival, a party until you are ready for a drop-off at your hotel for the night. Leave after breakfast and transfer to the airport/train station for your journey home, or extend your stay in Rajasthan with a two-night package at the enchanting Khimsar Castle or the Khimsar Dunes.
