Have a look- TAJ MAHAL, AGRA The Taj Mahal is often regarded as the epitome of love world-wide as this famous monument was constructed by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz. The exquisite white marble monument lies on the bank of river Yamuna in Agra. It combines Mughal, Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indian architecture and is also one of the 8 wonders of the world.   MYSORE PALACE, MYSORE The Ambavillas palace which is commonly known as the Mysore Palace is one of the best tourist attractions of Karnataka. It is the official residence of the Wadiyar Dynasty. The Mysore Palace along with Chamundi hills is responsible for second highest tourism revenue after the Taj Mahal.   HARMANDIR SAHIB, AMRITSAR Commonly known as the Golden Temple, this famous Gurudwara is regarded as the most pious and sacred places for Sikhs in India. Located in Amritsar, Punjab the Gurudwara attracts millions of devotees each year making it one of the most famous tourist places in India.   BRIHADISHWARA TEMPLE, THANJAVUR In the state of Tamil Nadu lies the Brihadishwara temple or the big-temple. This is the largest temple in India and is devoted to Lord Shiva. Devotees from all over the world come to India specially to visit this temple. The Cholas were responsible for building this gorgeous temple along with the Airavatesvara Temple.   BAHAI TEMPLE, DELHI The Bahai temple is located in the capital city of India, that is, Delhi. It is famously known as the Lotus Temple due to its architecture from outside which resembles a lotus flower. The palace was specially constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in pink and red sandstone for women of elite and royal families.   CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI TERMINUS, MUMBAI This historic railway station is situated in the city that never sleeps, Mumbai. Commonly also known as the Victoria terminus this railway station is the headquarters of the Central Railways. People from all over come to Mumbai to get a glimpse of Indias busiest Railway station.   VICTORIA MEMORIAL, KOLKATA This famous museum is dedicated to the past Queen of England Queen Victoria. This is the best tourist attraction of Kolkata and contains artifacts, paintings, sculptures and various other historical things from the British period.   QUTUB MINAR, DELHI One of the tallest minarets in the world and the second tallest of India, the Qutub Minar is a part of the Qutub complex. People from all over the world come to see this complex which includes various other heritage sites like Tomb of Iltutmish, the Iron pillar of Delhi and Alai Minar whilst the major attraction remains the Qutub Minar.   SANCHI STUPA, SANCHI This is the greatest Buddhist monument of India. The Sanchi stupa is surrounded by four gateways and is probably the only stupa which is preserved and serves as a tourist attraction. It is also known as the Great Stupa and is located at Sanchi Town in Raisen District.
