By admin.ngtraveller | Jan 03, 2022

The Ladakh' Chisumle-Demchok Road is the longest motorway in the world crossing the umling Pass. Its highest point is 19,000 feet above sea level. It was an extraordinary success. The road was constructed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO), which already has a lot of work to do. And I'm proud to cover some of the most challenging areas and frontiers in the country.

Here are 5 facts about Chisumle-Demchok Road:

Located in Ladakh, this road is known to be the longest motorway in the world at 52 km long and connects some major parts of the region.

The journey to Ladakh reached 19,000 feet and got into the Guinness Book of Records.

This road is an important alternative to other good roads. It connects Chasmale and Demchak and is particularly close to the India-China border.

According to the government, Everest is higher than the base camp!

The road crosses the Siachen Glacier, which is considered to be the highest, most expensive and dangerous area in the world.|
