Calangute is the largest beach located in north Goa with a stretch from Candolim to Baga. It is a hub for tourists and backpackers who visit from all over the world. Basilica of Bom Jesus
The church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It had been built in the year 1594 and consecrated in 1605. The Church building coincides with the start of Christianity in the country. The Basilica of Bom Jesus has a tomb and the remains of the St. Francis Xavier. It had been more than 400 years and the remains are still in good condition. Also, the remains are taken out once every decade.
Fort Aguada
The fort was built in the year 1612 to guard against the Dutch and the Marathas. It had been an important reference point for the vessels that are coming from Europe. The Aguada Fort is located on the beachside south of Candolim, at the shores of the Mandovi River.

The Monsoons are from arene to September. If you love the rains, then monsoon is a great time to visit Goa and enjoy the beaches. But, certain water sports and activities have been restricted.
Summer is not the best time to visit Goa. The weather between the months of March to May is hot which makes it really tiring trying to roam around Goa.
