Dwarkadheesh Temple – A Beauty To Behold

Known as Jagat Mandir, dedicated to Lord Krishna, the Dwarkadheesh Temple is one of the main attractions in Dwarka. According to Hindu mythology, the temple is believed to have been established by Lord Krishna's grandson, Vajranabha. Speaking of its architecture, the temple is elegantly built according to the Chalukya style of architecture using high-quality limestone.

The temple consists of five floors and two main doors. The main (north) entrance gate is called "Moksha Dawar" while the south entrance is called "Swarja Dawar" Gate of heaven.

Nageshwar Jyotirlinga – Seek Blessings

One of the twelfth and most powerful Gyotrlinga temples in India. Nageshwar Jyotirlinga is located about 17 km from the city of Dwarka. The temple is built with pink stone and dedicated to Lord Shiva, also called Darukavani Nagesh. According to Shiva Puran, the temple means protection against all kinds of toxins and is one of the best places to visit in Dwarka. Outside the temple building, there is a huge statue of Lord Shiva that is about 85 feet tall.

The statue is very attractive and can be seen from a distance. Large numbers of pilgrims visit Nageshwar Jyotirlinga.

Bet Dwarka – Check Out Dolphins

Shankhodara or Bet Dwarka is an island located in the Gulf of Kutch (Gulf of the Arabian Sea along the western coast of India). Pet Island is 34 km from the city of Dwarka. Lord Krishna's family is believed to have lived here. There are many temples and shrines located on this beautiful island, which makes it worth visiting. The most prominent temple, the Keshavraji Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, is believed to be over 500 years old. Enjoy a scenic boat trip and make your trip to Dwarka unforgettable. Apart from that, you can enjoy many water sports and other fun activities like hiking, dolphin watching, and camping.

Dwarka Beach – Pristine Waters

Located near the Dwarkadheesh Temple, you can spend some golden nights on the beach along with the refreshing breeze from the Arabian Sea. Give your eyes a visual treat with beautiful sunset views. Dwarka Beach is very popular with locals and foreigners. Here you can enjoy a picnic, photographs and other leisure activities. Visit here to relax and rejuvenate in serene surroundings.

Rukmini Temple – Imposing Structure

This 12th century temple is one of the great architectural wonders dedicated to Lord Krishna's wife, Rukmani. It is located about 2 km from the Dwarkadheesh Temple. According to Hindu mythology, the great sage Durvasa Rukmini Devi cursed to enrage him, so she separated her from her husband, and since that time her temple has been built away from the Dwarkadish temple. You can see the beautiful carvings on the wall of the temple.
