Delhi, Maharashtra, UP, Karnataka have ban New Year holidays

Delhi

An order issued by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) said: "The MDs and DCPs of Delhi Districts shall ensure that there is no Christmas or New Year's Eve in NCT of Delhi. / Cultural program judges are being urged to determine possible locations of the COVID-19 super-pandemic in Delhi so that the virus, which is one of Omicron's concerns, can be addressed.

Maharashtra

Maharashtra has by far the highest number of omicron diseases in India. The state will follow Article 144 till December 31. The BMC has issued new guidelines, allowing only 50% for confined spaces and 25% for open spaces. Also, if more than 200 people gather, the party organizers will have to take permission from the authorities concerned.

Uttar Pradesh


There will be meetings in UP temples for midnight guests. The government also announces all new year and new year celebrations. Hotels and clubs in different states have decided not to celebrate New Year this year.

Karnataka


Karnataka Prime Minister Basavraj Bommai has said that New Year's Eve celebrations will be limited to all public places. Restaurants will be allowed to operate up to 50% of their capacity and only fully vaccinated restaurants. Special events or DJs are not allowed. The new restrictions will be effective from December 30 and will continue till January 2.

So far, there are 213 US cases in 15 states of India.
