India is home to several rare and endangered species of animals. These animals have been pushed to the verge of extinction due to various activities such as poaching, torture by humans, a sudden change in habitat, climate change, and various other reasons. If you are keen to see them here is quick for you to see these endangered species in India. And yes, adore from far way don't go closer.

1. ONE-HORNED RHINO, KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

You should definitely visit Kaziranga National Park to discover this endangered species in India. Poaching is one of the main reasons for the decline in the Indian rhino population.

2. NILGIRI TAHR MUNNAR

Considered an animal of the state of Tamil Nadu, it now faces a great threat of extinction due to ongoing poaching activities.

3. LION-TAILED MACAQUE, WESTERN GHATS

The long-tailed macaque is one of the most endangered species in India as well as in the world and can be seen in isolated enclaves in the Western Ghats.

4. SNOW LEOPARD, HEMIS NATIONAL PARK

Over the past 20 years, there has been a 20 percent decline in the snow leopard population due to widespread hunting and loss of habitat. If you are lucky you may see one in this park.

5. ASIATIC LION AT SASAN GIR, GUJARAT

It is a subspecies of the lion that has become endangered over time. It can only be found in India; To date, there are about 200 Asiatic lions in the wild.

6. BLACKBUCK, KANHA NATIONAL PARK

The reason for the decline in the blackback population is the widespread transformation of their habitats. These Indian antelopes can be seen on the plains and grasslands of India.

7. KASHMIR RED STAG, DACHIGAM NATIONAL PARK

These are critically endangered species in India. This deer has a slight rump and each of its antlers consist of five tines.
