The Civil Aviation Authority has decided to suspend international commercial passenger flights as per the current assessment.

As per the recent reports, the scheduled international flights have been postponed till further announcement. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Mongolia has decided to suspend scheduled international commercial passenger flights as international flights are expected to resume.

It is now clear that international commercial flights planned under this statement will not operate in or out of India until further announcement.

The CAA said in a statement on February 28 that it would continue to operate international cargo flights and balloon flights.
As mentioned above, since July 2020, special passenger flights between India and about 45 countries around the world are operating on the balloon system.

India currently flies to Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Canada, Bhutan, Ethiopia, France, Finland, Iraq, Germany, Kazakhstan, Japan, Kuwait, Kenya, Mauritius, Maldives, Netherlands, Nepal, Oman and Nigeria. United Kingdom, Qatar, Rwanda, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Seychelles, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, United States of America, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan.

The Indian government had planned to resume international flights on December 15, 2021, but this could not happen due to the increase of Omicron.

International flights were suspended for the first time in March 2020, when Cov 19 announced nationwide overcrowding to tackle the first wave.
