According to the report, the decision to resume regular international flights was taken by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in consultation with the Health Ministry to reduce the number of Covid cases. However, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation is yet to make an official announcement.

Sources said that though regular international flights will resume from March 15, the international arrival guidelines for passengers will be followed from February 14.
As mentioned earlier, the ban imposed on 23 March 2020 due to government crisis will be effective from 28 February.

However, from July 2020, special passenger flights have been started between India and around 40 countries under the air bubble system.

The Health Ministry on February 14 issued revised guidelines for international tourists, eliminating the need for seven-day home isolation and eight-day RT-PCR tests. Also, countries in the 'threatened' category have been removed.
