Dharamshala to Mcleodganj in just 5 minutes now possible.
Jai Ram Thakur the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh said , It's now possible to travel Dharamshala to Mcleodganj in 5 minutes . The Dharamsala Skyway is about 1.8 km long and and has been built at an estimated cost of more than INR 200 crores.
The cable car upstairs allows them to enjoy beautiful aerial views of the city from Dharamsala to McLeod Ganga. The cable car is expected to carry 1,000 people per hour.
During the tourist season, the road between Dharamsala and Mcleodganj is usually congested. However, the cable car will reduce the travel time by about 40%. Speaking at the inauguration of Dharamsala Skyway, Himachal Prime Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the project cost INR 207 crores and consists of two stations and 10 towers.
Reportedly, the highest station on the highway was in front of the Dalai Lama Temple, and the technology used was the single-cable detachable gondola technology, which is an effective mode of urban transport in many Western countries. ,
Please note that a single ticket from Dharamsala to McLeodganj for this cable car is Rs 300 per person and two way tariff is Rs 500 per person.
