European vaccine certificate holders do not need Greece COVID 19 tests

European travelers with a European vaccine certificate do not need to be tested for Covid 19 before entering the country. Greek Health Minister Thanos Plevris, said the rule would take effect from next week. The country has eased travel restrictions and is targeting a growth rate of 4.5 per cent this year.

"As of Monday, active European (vaccine) certificate holders will be able to enter without any mandatory testing," Flavis said in a televised statement.

Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias said the country was preparing to welcome tourists from March 1. Greece is an important destination for tourists as it offers a unique Mediterranean experience and taste. The country is mainly dependent on tourism, which accounts for a quarter of the economy. The tourism minister said the country expects a record arrival of cruise ships this year.
