Saudi Arabia to welcome fully vaccinated travellers from August 1

The government of Saudi Arabia announced that it will lift travel restrictions on fully vaccinated travelers coming from foreign countries from August 1, 2021. On Friday, the government made the big announcement. The nation appears to be opening its borders to travelers 17 months after the pandemic began. Saudi Arabia to welcome fully vaccinated travellers.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Tourism in Saudi Arabia will allow tourists to fully enter the country. Vaccinated travelers will not be required to quarantine if they have an official vaccination certificate along with a negative PCR test result within 72 hours of the time of departure.

Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb said: "We welcome tourists again and are happy to welcome the Kingdom's guests again after stopping due to the repercussions of the Corona virus pandemic." He added that they focus on ensuring the safety of visitors to the Kingdom, so that tourists can enjoy exploring the country's treasures, important destinations and other attractions.

Saudi Arabia has also announced a three-year travel ban for its citizens if they visit any country on the COVID-19 red list, including India. Other countries on the red list are the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Ethiopia, Somalia, Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Belarus and Vietnam.
