Located on the edge of the Kathmandu Valley, Nagarkot gives you one of the most expansive panoramic views of the Himalayas - discover 8 of the 13 Himalayan mountain ranges from the comfort of your hotel. The Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, Gujal, Everest, Numbur, Ganesh Himal, and Rollwalling ranges can be seen from Nagarkot on a clear day.

A former summer retreat for the Nepalese, Indian and British monarchies, this town became popular after tourists flocked to the area in recent years. The idyllic town is quiet in the middle of nature; the only sounds you can hear are birdsong and the breeze whistling through the pines.

Dhulikhel, Nepal

You can't get enough of the mountains. There is something about the scenic beauty and serenity of the majestic peaks that makes you want to stay there forever and breathe fresh air. Dhulikhel in the Kathmandu Valley is one such place, offering stunning views of the high Himalayas and the variety of peaks that make it up, from Langtang Lirung in the west to Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar and Melungtse, and then Numbur in the east. Unlike Nagarkot, which is also a popular tourist attraction in the same area, Dhulikhel is a true Newari town and therefore the perfect place to visit if you want to explore the authentic culture and heritage of the area. There are also quiet walking trails throughout the town, and tourists simply wander on foot to get around.

Another popular tourist attraction here in Dhulikhel is the mountain bike trip from Dhulikhel to Namobuddha, which is one of the most loved activities by tourists. The three-hour drive passes the Kali Temple, then the villages of Kafri and Vaskot, and finally a hilltop Tibetan monastery, below which is Namoboda.

Pokhara, Nepal

Pokhara, the "tourist capital of Nepal", is the second largest city in this Himalayan country, after Kathmandu. At an altitude of more than 900 meters, it is one of the highest cities, making it the base for many world-famous excursions. The highlight of the city is Lakeside, a boating paradise surrounded by the charming shops, cafes, restaurants and bars that make up this postcard-perfect city.

For adventure seekers, Pokhara is a popular starting point for many hikes in the Annapurna mountain range, as well as numerous paragliding and river rafting opportunities. The city is a beautiful contrast between bustling Pokhara Lake and Old Pokhara, which is home to many beautiful historical temples and is also the commercial center of the city. Lake Fewa (or Fewa Tal), a picturesque lake bordering Lake Pokhara and ancient Pokhara, perfectly reflects the surrounding mountains, making for a stunning image.
