Fully vaccinated Indians can now travel to Switzerland - NgTraveller
Good news from Switzerland! The Swiss government has announced that it welcomes fully vaccinated Indian travelers, without any requirement for quarantine or RT-PCR testing. Indian travelers who have received two injections of Covishield vaccine are eligible to travel to Switzerland. It should be noted that although the country does not require a negative RT-PCR result, some airlines may require Indians to carry one for travel to the Alps. Indians can now travel to Switzerland
So far, there is no air bubble between India and Switzerland; Therefore, there are no direct flights between the two destinations. According to this, the vaccinated Indians would have to travel through Paris or Amsterdam to reach Switzerland.
The Swiss Embassy and Consulate in India started accepting visas with effect from June 28, 2021. On June 23, the Swiss Federal Council decided to relax the rules for the vaccination of Indian travelers. At the meeting, it was decided that travelers from the Schengen area would no longer have to be quarantined. These requirements only apply to unvaccinated travelers arriving by plane or who have not recovered from the coronavirus.
The official website of the Swiss Embassy in India says: “The Swiss Embassy in New Delhi is currently accepting all visa categories for people coming from third countries like India, who can prove that they have been fully vaccinated. Advance appointment booking is mandatory for all types of applications. VFS Global Services operates and accepts applications for Visa in centers of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin and Hyderabad.”
Travelers from the United States, Albania or Serbia can enter Switzerland without restrictions.
