Vaccinated travelers will soon be able to visit Hawaii with report

Traveling to and within Hawaii will likely be easier for those who have already been vaccinated against COVID-19. Hawaii is working on a vaccinated passport that allows these travelers to enter Hawaii without being quarantined.

According to the latest news reports, the island country Hawaii is working on a vaccination system in which they will be provided with an electronic code to facilitate their travel across the islands, in addition to skipping the mandatory 10-day quarantine.

The program is said to start on March 1 and will initially roll out with essential workers in the state, who have received the full dose of the COVID vaccine. Reports also indicate that this will also allow Aloha State to revitalize tourism in the area and facilitate entry for some travelers to the area.
Referring to this, Lieutenant Josh Green stated that the program will likely start with key personnel within the state, which will then gradually expand to include the general public, as well as tourists.


He added, "This is how we restore our economy very quickly, and we are likely to see a significant increase in the number of visitors who say the decline is this way."

As of now, visitors can bypass the state's mandatory quarantine if they can show a negative COVID-19 test from an accredited laboratory within 72 hours of boarding the flight.

With this move, Hawaii will soon join the growing list of countries exploring the concept, including Denmark and Iceland. Additionally, many countries, including Georgia and Seychelles, are already welcoming fully vaccinated travelers to their shores.
